The Western Balkans' only full IB boarding school.
IB education. Sport. A community that prepares them for the world.
KSI Montenegro offers something no other school in the Western Balkans can: a complete IB education from Early Years to the Diploma Programme, full residential boarding from age 11, a structured sports programme through the PEAK Partnership, CIS international accreditation, and Bilingual and Multilingual Smart School certification — all in one place, on the Adriatic coast.
"A community that prepares them for the world — we did not have to compromise on academics or sport."

One school. One continuous journey. No disruption.
Most families are forced to change schools as their child moves from primary to secondary to pre-university education. At KSI Montenegro, the full IB Continuum means your child can begin with us at age 3 and graduate with the IB Diploma at 18, with no change of school, no change of ethos, and no loss of continuity. Boarding students join from age 11.
Primary Years Programme
Inquiry-based learning that builds curiosity, creativity, and strong foundational skills from the very beginning.
Middle Years Programme
Subjects connect to the real world, critical thinking becomes a daily habit, and students develop a clear sense of who they are and what they want.
IB Diploma Programme
Recognised at over 5,000 universities worldwide. Graduates earn places at institutions across Europe and the United States. The gold standard of international pre-university education.
A structured, supported residential community. Not just a place to sleep.
Boarding at KSI Montenegro means your child joins a diverse, international residential community at Porto Montenegro — one of the most secure and well-connected marina developments on the Adriatic coast. They live, study, and grow alongside peers from over 30 nationalities, with pastoral support built around them every day.
Houseparents and Residential Staff
Dedicated houseparents and support staff on site every day. Your child is never without someone to turn to, academically, socially, or personally.
Structured Weekend Programme
Weekends are not unstructured time. Excursions, sport, cultural activities, and rest are all built into the residential experience. Boarding here is a full programme, not just accommodation.
Welfare and Safeguarding
Medical support, a dedicated school counsellor, and a clear safeguarding structure. Porto Montenegro is one of the most private and secure residential environments in the region.
5-Day Boarding
Sunday evening to Friday afternoon. Your child is in school and training during the week and returns home every weekend. Ideal for families within the Western Balkans region.
7-Day Boarding
Full residential boarding for families relocating internationally or whose child wants full immersion in the school community throughout the week.
From the Western Balkans, the EU, or Anywhere
Serious students from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Albania, and further afield board with us and access the full programme. Direct flights connect Tivat to London, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Vienna, and beyond.
Sport built into the school, not bolted on.
The PEAK Programme is KSI Montenegro's structured sports partnership for students who train seriously. We partner with established clubs and coaches in the Tivat and Kotor area so students train at proper facilities without missing school. The school timetable adapts around training and competition calendars, not the other way around.
Schedule Built Around Sport
Your child travels for tournaments and returns to carry on. Teachers prepare work in advance and support catch-up on return. The IB pathway stays intact throughout.
Life After Sport
Career skills, financial literacy, leadership, and mental resilience are built into the programme. Most athletes retire before 30. We prepare them for what comes next while they are still competing.
Athletes coached through endurance competition
12-Hour Cycling World Time Trial Championship
The PEAK Programme is led by Cesar Valera, PHE and Sports Science Teacher, a former professional triathlete who completed the 3,000-mile Race Across America. He has personally coached over 100 athletes through endurance competition. The wellbeing component is led by Lea Tomašević, School Counsellor.
Three independent standards. One school.
No other school in the Western Balkans holds all of these.
IB World School — Full Continuum
Only school in the Western Balkans offering PYP, MYP and Diploma Programme in one place. Recognised globally by every major university system.
CIS Accreditation
Council of International Schools full accreditation. Independent verification of our teaching standards, student welfare, and school governance. No other school in Montenegro holds this.
Bilingual and Multilingual Smart School (BML)
Certified to support students learning in multiple languages. Teaching strategies are adapted to meet every child where they are, regardless of their language background.
IB Diploma — NCAA Pre-Approved
For families with aspirations toward US college sport, the IB Diploma is pre-approved by the NCAA for athletic eligibility. The right academic qualification and the right sporting qualification, combined.
